Here's a really short clip that I recorded with my video camera. The playing is rushed (it's my 1st video on the net, so the nerves were working), but I love the tone of this setup. Clams o' plenty...that for sure. I kept playing the same notes over and over...LOL. Check out my video editing skills with the smooth transition 3/4 of the through

Signal chain: Les Paul R8 w/ a Goodwood in the bridge > Boss Stock MIJ SD1 (used as a clean boost) > Rivera > Ibanez DE7 in the FX loop > JCM800 cab with G12 65's.

great tone!

i miss my tbr-1 from time  to time

Thanks Pat!!! That means a lot coming from you. I need to lay off the coffee and drink a glass of port the next time I decide to record any clips. I think this was recorded just after I finished my extra large Dunkin Donuts

Sounds good to me! And dig the DE7...the $40 pedal that hangs with pretty much any delay out there...

Now do one with the EVH as a memento...

Paige!

Sounds good man, I'm really diggin' the tone and playing. Don't be so hard on yourself bro. Now, if I start to post videos, it will be a whole new level of clams!

Extra large Dunkin', I hear you on that man. My morning isn't complete without Dunkin'.

:D

Joe/Mike...thanks for the kind words! Caffeine is my drug of choice

Very cool clip! I have never heard this amp before. Sounds great. How would you compare it to other Rivera models?

Hi Paige !

Sounds very very cool, full and meaty - the distance cam/cab changes it a bit, but we all know how to correct that in our brains from experience . . .
Nice playing too !

Will you post some more with clean and such? I would appreciate that, those amps are super rare here, you know.

Funny thing, Paige keeps telling me if i want a good cheap delay to get one of these, and he's been through a lot of delays. I thought about getting one of the more fancy delays but i came to my senses. I had a Nova but sold it and i was thinking about the Carbon Copy. MM, what to do, what to do. :D

Thanks everyone! I've only owned one other Rivera, which was the Knucklehead II. This amp is better in pretty much every conceivable way. Not that the KHII was bad...it's just that this amp can pretty much do it all. There are a ton of usable tones in this amp and it's a tweakers dream for sure. The cleans and low-mid gain tones are killer as well. I'll try to make some additional clips sometime next week  .

BTW, the delay didn't sound that loud in the room for some reason...

The DE7 is perfectly fine. I just sold it's predecessor the EM5 soundtank delay. It's a good one too. Hell, I like the dan-echo too...

Sounds really good, I bet that amp nails the later Sid Row tones. Do you have to boost it to get the squish goodness? How useable is it unboosted?

Wasn't sure what to expect. I like it.. alot. Very gainy , good saturation but very clear and cutting. Ya know I've pretty much liked every Rivera clip I've ever heard but never owned one. One day I gotta get over to Swissvale music and try a few out.

Thanks for the clip. I have been curious about Riveras lately.

Thanks Mike! The amp has plenty of gain on tap, and sounds killer without any boost. The SD1 just tightens it up a bit...but it's not necessary. I'm just a boostoholic   . I'm going to make another video or two with some lower gain stuff...
