So this guy i know got it from a pawn shop or something, it's beat to shit.. seriously, it's HSS configuration but the pickups have been pulled and replaced with an EMG 81 in the bridge, the neck looks fine, he says the neck and frets are in good neck, but the body is destroyed, I'd have to put some money into getting it fixed up I think, I may buy a single humbucker pickguard and put that in (to cover up the pickup holes)

But.. is it a good guitar, how much would it be worth in shit condition? Should I trust the lic floyd?.. I plan on replacing the floyd on my LTD so I may drop the LTD floyd in there if possible.

meh. Depends on how much he wants... if your gonna replace pups and the floyd, why not just grab a used cheaper jackson or something???

I would'nt bother, that Floyd was probably added later. It looks pretty bad. Tokai is more known for there replicas of actually Strats, Teles and LP's. I've looked through catalogs online of Tokai from around that time and never saw one with a floyd. You'd be better off like has been said, get a used Jackson or Charvel or something, maybe one of those new BC Rich, reissue 80's shredders. those are only like 600$.

Bump.

he wants £150 for it cash in hand. The floyd is stock, the pickup isn't. The neck is fine apparently, but I'll know when I see it.
