Pros: These things seem fairly decent, especially for the money. I could slap in new pickups and maybe an Earvana compensated nut and this thing would still be under $500. I love goldtops and there's other nice finishes.
Cons: Made in China, which makes me suspicious of quality (plus I've got no love for the opressive government there.) Ibanez says the wood is mahogany, but it's probably the shoddy end of the tonewood spectrum.
Like this better than comparable models - I won't buy an ESP (hate the necks), and this guitar seems better than the low end Epiphones. (Never tried the PRS Singlecut though)
So, would you buy one of these for a "beater"?
