I have WoS III open in my DAW (as a VST plugin), my amp head is plugged into "Amp In" on the PS, and I have a cable going from "Line Out" to my interface. When the amp is on, I am seeing the faders/sensors jump up and down in my DAW, but when I play nothing comes through the monitor and when I record it doesn't record anything, and the WoS volume/gain sensors aren't moving or lighting up at all. This makes me thing I haven't set up WoS properly? What am I doing wrong?

Also, track is armed for record, and I have input monitoring selected.

Do you have your cab hooked up? You still need to have that in the equation as far as I know. Even if the volume is knocked down to whisper quiet.

Which DAW are you using? Just curious how you are loading the WoS. In Reaper instead of insert a new track I choose insert virtual instrument on new track and pick the WoS plugin... Also did you choose the right input in your DAW?

Here is an example of me choosing input 1 on my Roland quad capture in Reaper.. hope this helps

Reaper. I tried the insert as instrument track:

Still same thing though, you can see there is a recording with no sound in it on the track. I'm plugged into the input 1 on my interface.

I think my Preferences are set correctly:

EDIT: Turned up the volume on my amp a bit, that seemed to help - it is now recording the signal, BUT WoS III still doesn't seem to be working.

EDIT II: No idea how, but I think it's working now. It is recording and I can play it back and hear it, but I can't hear anything while I'm playing. I had previously set the audio system to ASIO when I was using GuitarRig, which allowed me to play and hear at the same time.

EDIT III: ....... my headphones weren't fully plugged in    all good now. Thanks erl!

Worth checking but sometimes if your hardware (focusrite) isn't matching the software settings it can cause problems. So for me I choose the sample rate of 44,100 and block size for my Roland and then click the Asio configuration and make sure your focusrite is also set for 44,100 etc... you can choose 48,000 or whatever your hardware is capable of but they should match. For example I recorded on my laptop at 48,000 and tried to play back the same file on my desktop and I couldnt not get any sound to come out til I set Reaper and asio config to 48,000 too. Hope this helps brother.

Grats! BTW what I mentioned about matching the sample rate and block size is still good to do.. otherwise mismatched can cause annoying pops and crackles.. anyway glad you got it going!
