I'm building a monster amp for warhead78 here on the forum.

It is going to be a three channel amp with tube buffered fx-loop. A nice clean channel, a ”hot-rodded Marshallish”-channel and an insane tight metal-channel.

Here is the beautiful orange amp:

Time for cleaning:

I need to put in three more preamp tubes in this amp since I don't want to do compromises where all the channels shares the same triodes and you need to do compromises since your clean channel and your "extreem high gain metal channel" shares the same tubes.

Some point-to-point-boards and the new tube sockets in place! Soon it's time to start put in the first components!

To be continued!

Damn, look at the size of those trannies! This is too cool Henric, I can't wait

So totally cool man. I totally dig the P.A conversions. They sound killer in the clips and I just love the the look.

You take P.A.'s and make wierd, strange, sick, twisted, eerie, Godless, evil amps - and I want one :D

Henric, I will bet you have that thing already built in your head before you even took one piece out of it... Pics are killer dude and cant wait to see the rest of it and to hear it!

By the way how are going to address the NA power; ie: 120V 60Hz? Are those switching transformers?

Of course I already have it built in my head ;)
On these old tube PA's there is always a 110/120V tap on the mains transformer

When you do these mods for people, do you source the old P.A.'s and charge the purchaser, or do they send the P.A. to you to do the mod on?

Henric already had this amp on hand and offered to source other platforms for me as well

Both, and sometimes like in this case I had the amp at home already.

Some more things are in place and the frontpanel has got six more holes in it. I have put in the relay boards and a transformer to power the relays, photocoupler and leds and I have started to build up the power supply.

You, sir, I predict are going to be in high demand and wildly successful. Good on you and a job extremely well done!!!

These things are so cool!! Talk about a mind blower on stage!!

Henric, Is this going to be midi switchable?

I will not install a midiboard in this. It will be footswitchable but you can control it with almost any "midi-switcher".
