I'm going back to a G-Major 2 and I just need a good controller that is reliable and not to spendy. Simple is good because its only going to control the GM2. I have an XTC so no matter what I'l have to use the XTC footswitch also. Ive looked at the Midi Mate but its pretty big and the Rocktron MidiXChange looks simple but I dont know on the quality. Thanks for any input!

have you considered getting an RJM rg-16 and a mastermind controller. not gonna lie this seems like as simple a set up as it gets.

Thats a little to much for what I need. Simpler the better for dumb ass!

They're hard to find, but the Axess MFC5 is just about perfect for what you need.

That one looks like a solid unit, a little spendy. Their web site is shut down right now.

You may want to look into the Digital Music Corporation original Ground Control (pre GCP). You can get them pretty cheap now and sounds perfect for what you want it for. I have one but never used it because I purchased a Liquid Foot.

Use a rjm mini amp switcher, the little one. You can controll your xtc with that and its pretty simple and works with any midi pedal. Helps eliminate tap dancing and having the xtc foot controller on your board or at your feet.

Boss/Roland FC50 is as simple as it gets for just switching presets.

I have one of these as well if you need it.

I have a simple Digitech up/down 2 button footswitch that has a 1/4" jack. Will that work just to bank up and down between prestets? I just bought the GM2 from Arkohors and I dont have it yet. Thats why I ask this question. Thanks guys.

if that is all you want just get a MIDI mouse by Tech 21.

if you want a bigger controller...buy my engl z 12 midi controller.

I have a Behringer FCB1010 that I would sell. Has 2 relays to do channel switching. I modded it to have a 7 pin midi jack that is connected to the relays to switch my XXX. Works great. I'm sure it could do 2 switching options on your XTC as well with the right custom cables.

I got one a couple weeks ago just to change channels on my Egnater amp switcher, wanted something with a small footprint. It's made by Peak (never heard of them) Made in Korea, I think. It's been flawless so far. Payed $139 new on Ebay. I thought for the price if it took a shit early on it would not be that big of a deal. So far so good. I will post pic of it tomorrow, in a hurry and going out for the night.

I like the Lexicon MPXR1. I've got two of them right now that I'm not using anymore, for the sole reason of not having alpha-numeric displays. They've got a built in expression pedal, TRS relay jack for amp switching or what have you, and the ability to switch between PC and CC mode with the touch of a button, dedicated tap tempo switch, etc. Overall, a great MIDI controller.
