Since Lynch Doesn't Get Much Attention Here...

He needs to keep that wizard modern classic in his standard rig

He hit a few wrong notes here or there in this performance but his style is so unique that it can fit. He is def. working it here. Wonder how he can be so inconsistent! Does the style lend itself to that perhaps? Super choppy playing with legato and cool phrasing here. Also thought he was feeding off the band. Drummer was bang on and bass was tight. Another thing i noticed... less phaser! Could this be possible? I wonder if he does read Rig Talk. If he does, he should take away from this that THIS is the way he should play. It was a great performance. Can't take anything away from that even with verb and delay!

I have a sneaky suspicion that he does lurk here..or who knows..maybe even participates under some name....but..who knows.....anyway...i figure Lynch does what Lynch wants with equipment etc...phaser one day...less phaser the next....it's a journey for him i'm sure

thanks so much for posting this. He is on in this clip
I said it many times, when Lynch is on, he is great. He could play the same song on another day and the results may be totally different. He's inconsistent like that, but i think that's the cool thing about him, the unpredictability.

I dunno, to me it's hard to even hear half the shit he is actually playing there :dunno:

Drench anything in enough verb and delay and it can sound good!!!! He's solid here though for sure. One of his more "on" days.

Kind of stuck with that when running delay/reverb in front of the amp. I just wish he's chill out on the delay (used to be way too much phaser) because you can hardly hear what he's playing! He certainly plays the shit out of it, though. He absolutely smoked at M3 last year - he looked as if he had the energy of when he was half his age!

I doubt he lurks here and i'm pretty sure he doesnt care about anyone's opinion about his playing. He is probably more critical of his own playing than anyone on here could ever be.

Lynch probably plays his solos different every time he plays. Every vid and every time I've seen him live, his guitar solos are more or less "based" off what was recorded in the studio. Hell, even his REH video isn't 100% on the solos he teaches you.

There are guys like Satch who can play note for note, nuance for nuance, every solo 20+ years later to perfection (which I think is amazing), and guys like Lynch who mix it up every time and just feed off the grove (which is equally amazing).

George was killin' it here! He's a lot of fun to watch when he's playing well.

whoa - that was like watching a fat guy tear into a friggin bucket of chicken, he was pissed of at that guitar, abused it - playing sounded very good.
