So this is a topic I find difficult to really find opinions/suggestions on. I can find a million and one topics on which humburgers sound great in the neck, and I've got mine nailed down. However whenever I search for single coil lead clips or reviews, 99% of them are strats playing rock or grandpa stuff 
. Looking to use with music like At The Gates, Scar Symmetry, KsE, Symphony X, etc..
I've got an RG565 and a Caparison Horus that I'm looking for new pickups in, both still have stock that are lackluster in their tone. I've had other Horus', RG565, PH600s that had these pickups and they were alright, but not fitting: Dimarzio Air Norton S, Area whatever, Blue Velvet, True Velvet, Chopper, Cruiser, Fast Track... EMG S, SA.. Seymour Duncan SSL5 and more I can't remember. The best ones being Dimarzio Fast Track and EMG SA.
But after trying out a Seymour Duncan Alpha/Omega set in a couple guitars, I really loved the sound of the Alpha neck pickup. It was punchy and loud, but most of all crystal clear. Not glassy like a typical neck pickup, which allows me to get that lead real WET
. BKP Cold Sweat comes close, but it's a humbuckler.
Anyone know of a Single Coil neck pickup like that? Or suggest one that is heads and tails above the rest? Curious about BKP Trilogy Suite or Cobra, Fishman Single Width, etc.. Just tired of taking gambles.
