Single coil pups...what's your favorites?

If you were choosing a single coil set for a strat and wanted something for pristine cleans with bell like overtones (i'm not good at describing what I am trying to say)...overall good moderate to vintage output that will just make your mouth water due to the sheer goodness of the pickups...what would you choose? YES i know there are other factors like amp, speakers, cables, covers over preamp tubes, tone is in the fingers etc......LOL...
just wondering what your go to single coils would be whether boutique or non boutique.

out of all the strats I've played my fav. SC is BY FAR the ones in my John Mayer sig. they're called the big dippers.... there's a brand out there that makes a dead on copy of these, but I don't remember the name.

btw I have a set of Suhr FL/FL/SSV on my other strat and they are really good....they're brighter than the big dippers and have more mids.........think of them as texas special of some sort.

I've actually been thinking of picking up a new Fender American Special in candy red with maple board..love the price point and the specs on it....it has texas specials in it...but i have another strat i'm changing up a bit and looking for pups

Strats rock man........ give Jerry (luxxtone) a call, he's the one that set me up the Suhr system. it's amazing becuase I can engage the neck SC anytime it's SWEET

Agreed. Best I've played are the big dippers! And yep, Klein S5, those are the copies. Also really nice!!!

Fralin Vintage Hots...they're exactly what you describe. I've had them in a guitar since '95 and I just fell in love with them all over again recently when I started playing in a blues project.

I'm partial to the Duncan SSL-6 in the bridge, it sounds huge and takes nicely to boost/OD pedals when you need more output power.
