Slant vs Straight cabs

I love the look of straight cabs. There aren't many straight cabs to be found where I live.

I'm definately a straight cabinet guy. Always preferred the tone and I don't like the top speakers angled at the back of my head.

Straights typically... Just cleaner lines, albeit I understand the reasoning behind slants, I just prefer straights.

I agree with Dave, in that I own both and like both with the correct speakers. But if I had to choose, it would be straights due to prefering the way that they project.

I am indifferent
Contrary to most I think the slant looks better...

unported and with the right speakers i prefer slants. ported or really solid/many plies (9 or more) i prefer straights. some straight cabinets can be too woofy sounding or bass heavy in the wrong tuned note/area. ports help to alleviate this issue if the port is tuned properly.

really depends on the speakers, the cabinet design, the woods, the area im playing, and the volume im playing at.

I use to like slant cabs for many years then I got a few straight cabs and prefer them now.

I like slant so it nails me in the face

Doesn't prefer straight and likes taking it in the face. Oh man there's so many poor taste jokes there but I ain't touchin' any of 'em.

the look of slant, but i'd say the projection of the straight cabs is better

i angle the slant cab slightly away from me so seems to work out without absolutely destroying my hearing =0

I like Straights mostly, but I have my Bogner V30 slant that I love and its a keeper with the XTC101B!

Love my Diezel V30 cab and my Marshall 100 G12H cab, both straights. Mesa V30 and Marshall V30 cabs are very Nice!

Love the Soldano Straight (soldano eminence) with the SLO ! The VHT Deliverance cab sounds good with the VHTUL100! P50E

Brand new ENGL pro soon! Hey, Greg has one, so it must be good!

Straight. It allows me to not only put my head on top but also leaves some room to set my beer
