Slight problem with Herbert; loud noise when channel change

Hi! A technical question:

I am currently trying to program my rig, which consists of Herbert, G major and Ground Control Pro. When I change channels with the Ground Control, there is a loud "thump" or "pop". I have the G Major plugged in the switchable loop, and the noise reverberates in the Majors reverb. Any thoughts?

I also wonder if it is possible to make the delay spillover work when switching on and off the loop.

Also, I have to step twice on the GCP all the time in order to load the right preset. Any thoughts on that?

My Herbert does this, haven't tried installing the resistor yet.

Ok thanks. will try this. The problem was more apparent when I tried an alternative patching (switchable loop out and into the serial loop) in order to get a switchable loop with spillover delay).
