If you were only able to have one amp for the rest of your playing days:

Bogner Ecstasy (classic, 101b or 20th)
Soldano SLO
Diezel VH4

Sorry, im sure there will be other answers but Im just curious as to which of these big 3 are most popular. Throw in what kind of music you play and what guitars you use - if you want to have a useful answer.

and...yes Ventura....you have to pick JUST ONE.

Given that I can only have ONE of those amps for the REST OF MY LIFE, I would absolutely take an Ecstasy over the SLO, for the versatility alone.

I can't provide firsthand feedback between the Ecstasy or VH4, because I have never played a VH4. However, I'm going to vote Ecstasy, for no other reason than that I have no interest in a VH4......

No you don not have to have had all the Amps or even one of the amps to answer. Just answer which amp you'd most like to have based on what you've read. which amp you GAS for the most.

It's pure curiosity...

Tone = SLO

Versatility = VH4.

A bit of both = XTC.

DAMN IT MAN!!!!!! You can't do that to me!!!!!!!! :lol: :LOL:

I love polls, read this poll, and was like "no way man, can't pick just...." and then read your disclaimer to me. :hys:

I'll have to stew on this.

Oh, wait, straight up 101B and not the 20thA??? In that case - the VH4 hands down :D

Done :salute: :salute: :salute: :salute: :salute:

Can't pick between VH4 and the 20thA though. No dice.

For me:

SLO - with EVM12Ls (thiele) or Scumbacks in a 4x12
XTC - with their 2x12 OS
VH4 - with Scumback M75s or the Diezel speakers in a 4x12

I agree 100% with Danyeo.

I've ran 2 SLOs before and it gave me everything I wanted. If you do the Lucky 13 mod on the clean of one it has beautiful cleans. On that amp I would set my heavy tone on the OD channel. Then on the 2nd I'd use the Crunch channel for Classic tones and set the OD for lead.

After I wrote the poll I realized it would probably make you toss and turn for a few nights.

Yeah, the 20th A is included in the xtc choice.

You won't be able to look your xtc in the grill anymore. It knows you have chosen the D.

She won't let you insert any cables for a while :lol: :LOL:

Since I never played a VH4 or SLO and own a 101B I'll have to go with the Ecstasy. If I had to get rid of all of my other amps the 101B would stay.

Bogner gets 1/2 the votes. Surprised it was that lopsided.

Well, from the people chiming in it was a versatility issue mainly. And it is a great amp regardless.

VH4 gets my vote. I play classic rock, some 80s ostuff, funk, fusion, blues etc. Used to be a big time Mesa Boogie player but then I got the Diezel. Love my TOV though:)

Guitars I play are PRS Custom 24s and BCR Mockingbirds.

XTC. Even a 'lowly' 101B... I love mine. The SLO I had was awesome for high gain, cleans were 'meh' and c'mon, the effects loop was awful.

Never played a Diezel, but I don't have any real interest in them.
