I'm finding my 2 x 12 V30 is just too big for the tiny stages I'm being squished onto in the bands I session for. My usual setup is AxeFX 2 Output 1 -> FOH AxeFX Output 2-> Palmer Macht 402 -> 2 x 12 (for some stage noise and air). The speakers and wood don't need to be top spec since it's only going to be providing onstage noise. It won't be mic'd or recorded with.

Is there a cab that would do 2 x 10/9/8 inch? I'm struggling to find one (I'm UK based) that also will allow stereo and easy to carry.
I have a GK 250ML which is a little too small, heavy and I don't wanna take it to shows.

Thanks \m/

what about a vertical 2x12? Splawn or Mesa?

you are not saying the 1 cab / stereo speakers are you?

I'd consider three scenarios
  1. two Bogner or Friedman 1x12 cubes, they sound massive for what they are
  2. Put some celestion neo creambacks or other neo speakers in your existing cabs, it will be way lighter.
  3. Two 1x12 cubes with celestion neo speakers in them for the ultimate light stereo experience?

I run stereo effects, delays, and choruses etc, so I have a left and right output from my power amp. I'd rather keep my pingpongs left to right, rather than up and down haha! I have had to flip it vertical sometimes to cram on stage, and then mic top->left and bottom->right.
I think the dual 1x12 could be good idea

I think you've sold me on 3. Means if all came to worst, I could run in one in Mono and take up even less space. These 600+ year old pubs in the UK can get very compact haha

I figured it was something like that and I figured someone with more knowledge than I would chime in. I was mainly trying to give you a free bump and also distract me from the rockinchippy thread :D
