Small Midi Foot Controllers???

I'm thinking of getting a smaller midi controller for my board. Ones I am aware of include:

1.) RJM Mastermind (problem is, at 16" wide, it really isn't THAT small); and
2.) Liquid Foot Jr. (problem is, it has WAY more functionality than I need and the price is on the obnoxious side for what I will use it for)

All I really need is a minimum of 4 switches for immediate program/patch change access, and the pedal to be able to also send CC commands.

Anything else out there worth my while. I would prefer that it is a durable metal case with steel switches.

Thanks!

Made in Thailand but have great reviews and hard to beat for the price. The one your looking for is small in size and price

I have been using this one daily for about 8 months with no issues. Hard to beat for the price.

There ya go!!! the bigger one has great functions and the price on that is crazy low as well

I take it I could use one of these with a Gmajor2? It's either a midi unit or get rid of the rack and replace it with bits and pieces.

Thanks Steve. That's basically what I currently have (Egnater MOD series 4 button_. These aren't your typical programmable midi pedals though - no way to select a patch number on the pedal itself. I'm concerned it will not be able to access the CCVs midi functionality, and it is very limiting with my full rack rig. I also have a Rocktron Midi Mate, but it's too frickin' big! (20 inches wide!)

Ok I'm a tad confused myself.. say you have 4 programmable channels, what you mean is that with these units all they save are 4 effect settings and not the effects + your amp settings? (Clean-crunch-boost/lead channels) ? Not trying to confuse or steal the thread, just trying to understand this as I just made the jump into the rack world.

Honestly, I'm not really following your question. The limitation of the Egnater and Randall 4-button footswitches is that you can't change the program/patch change command they send - it's pre-defined. It works like a charm with the Egnater and Randall modular amps/preamps, because all of the midi "programming" is done on the amp itself - not on the footcontroller.

Using a real-world example: let's say you are using it with an Axe FX, which has a hundred or so patch/preset numbers in it. At best, you could only access 4 of them with the 4-button footswitch. In contrast, if you used a more standard midi pedal with the LED screen and numbered buttons/switches, you could access all of the Axe's hundred or so presets.

Gotcha.. I just did some googling on this so I understand what you mean... essentially you want something like the Rocktron but smaller. What about the Voodoo labs foot controller? Still too big?

I thought you were wanting something to switch your CCV only.

Oops! Sorry for the confusion. I guess I understand how you would come to that conclusion.

Ideally, what I am looking for is a compact, fully-functional midi footpedal that will work well with the CCV, my MOD50's and my full rack rig. That way, I can use the same pedalboard with all three rigs without having to switch up the midi pedal.

Way to complicated for my technical ability. MIDI is cool, but makes me nervous playing live. Afraid of hitting the wrong preset then something dropping out. Which, is why I use a splitter and keep both amps on all the time and run everything up front. Otherwise, it could turn into a real goat-fuck.

This is REALLY looking like it might fit the bill. It's the perfect size. Anybody have anymore first hand feedback on this product?
