Started messing around with recording. All guitars are Godin Montreal through Egnater M4 VX channel B left, EG3 right, solo is COD channel B through GMajor2. Rhythm tracks are through the FX return of a VHT Pittbull 50/CL and solo is Rivera TBR5. Recorded with an SM58 through an Apogee Jam to Garageband. No post EQ just straight signal. Not note for note and more just to get a point of reference. I'm not a shredder by any means so take it easy on me. Enjoy.

I like it, sounds good and thanks for sharing. Love it when people share their stuff

Thanks guys!

I listened to Juggs' Slayer/Kemper clip and it sounded like fun. Tempted to try some Helmet on the VHT. Maybe some lighter stuff. Thanks for listening.

The signal chain is somewhat complicated. I ran an Egnater M4 preamp into the FX return of the VHT for the clean and rhythm tracks. Clean was a BMAN module which is a take on a Fender Bassman. The left distorted track is the VX module which emulates a Vox AC30. The right distorted track is the EG3 which is Egnater's version of a hot rodded JCM800.

For the solo I used a COD, which is Bruce's take on the Dumble/Mark IIC thing. I ran the other out of the M4 to a GMajor2, which goes to a Rivera TBR5 power amp.

Both the VHT and Rivera go to a trio of 3rd Power Tricabs with V30's. I will eventually upgrade to a better recording interface so I can make some quality clips. I mainly wanted to hear how the cabs sound in a mix.

Helmet would be awesome. I was just listening to Betty today and wondering if there was now backing tracks for that kind of stuff. Time to evolve from the Bark at the Moon tracks and get into the early 90's. Wouldn't mind finding some Prong stuff or even Sepultura.
