That's on our list of covers to learn...eventually...

We got about 70% of it down...then let it slide.

A few months later, we come back to it, get about 80% of it down....then let it slide...

We've not touched it since then.

I used to play that tune in cover bands, one of my faves!

That is definitely one of my favorite tunes from him. I used to watch Al Pitrelli play that in his coverband years ago. Id Love to play this tune with the new band. it usually goes over very well live with people who know the tune and even the people who aren't familiar with it ,groove to it

And also with you, 100%!!!!! Ive been wanting to add this or Boom Boom, Out go the lights to our setlist as well...

As much as I loved Travers back in the day, I dug Pat Thrall so much more. that guy is so good and so criminally underrated/Underknown...

Thrall is one of those guys who was out at a time where guys like him seemed to get passed up a lot of guitar players. There was a time in the early 80's before metal hit where guys like him and Mike slammer just got buried in the mix. It seems as if those types of players turned to producing instead of playing.

With that said, Pat Thrall re-released his Hughes Thrall album with a few bonus tracks . I really need to pick it up!

I remember looking at this album cover in awe.....all those beautiful Marshalls...back when I couldnt afford one..and they seemed so far out of reach.. :D

Look at those shoes on that album cover!

This reminds me of a gig I played and got completely plastered and someone brought up a shot for me to take and I asked "What is it?" as I'm doing this I'm bringing it up to my nose to smell it and just snort a half shot of Chavas Regal :aww:

Awesome song

Absolutely brilliant album. The version of Gettin' Better is jaw droppingly good on this disc!

A gem from the era.

Ahhh...the hazy memories of hearing that in bars & inspiring a lad to pick up the instrument...

Thx for sharing

I remember that album! It was one of my favorites back when I was in high school. I loved the trashed office photo on the back. Raw Marshall power!!!

I met Pat Travers about a year ago and all I could think of to say to him was "Thanks for the best album cover in rock and roll!" :)
