Definitely digging these profiles. I did some minor tweaks (presence, treble, mids and bass) and thats about it really. I think they sound great

THanks Chubtone! Yeah direct recorded with s/pdif. And dude i'm way more of a noob Kemper guy than you cause i'm not even sure what a merged profile is the be honestChubtone":2dmxude8 said:Sounds killer! Recorded direct I assume? Sorry for the noob Kemper questions but if you are recording direct, why do you use the merged profiles? Thanks

So here is the thing for this recording, I learned thru youtube vids how to re-amp with the Kemper. It was my first time at trying to re-amp anything. So basically once I got the di's recorded I re-amped and scrolled thru rig manager with each guitar track with the drums playing til I liked what I was hearing in the mix. Messed a little with presence and what not and just stuck those profiles.
Di was pretty easy, just plug a cable from the direct out on the back of the kemper to an input on your interface. My interface had s/pdif ins and outs so I just connected the cables direct from the kemper s/pdifs too. Other than that in your DAW you have to re-route your output for the di track to go in to the s/pdif input of the kemper. Then arm another track using the s/pdif input of your interface. Doing this allowed me to record the di and a scratch track at the same time and later re-amped it to a new track while scrolling thru rig manager and dialing in real time. First time I ever did something like this... I don't see myself doing this for my usual quick recordings but it was interesting to learn. Plus I can now use this recent recording to test profiles in a mix. If you use Reaper I can probably get you in the right directionChubtone":2z7antaj said:errrrrl":2z7antaj said:THanks Chubtone! I don't know who is more noob. I have no idea how to do the DI track or use the SPDIF. LOL Your recordings make me want to learn.
