It's beautiful and sounds killer. I'm still getting used to it. I'm A/B with the 2008 and I'm having trouble getting used to the extra presence. It's nice to have on tap, but I've gotta set the amp up a bit differently. Still a beast. I definitely like the clean channel better. Also, channel 2 seems a bit more usable even with the bright switch off. The differences aren't huge.. Like if I played one yesterday and one today I wouldn't be able to tell.

Congrats man! Really like that white tolex! I've been throwing my blueface against my 2008 VH4 too, and hear a difference for sure, mostly on channel 4, really need to try em both with same set of tubes for a nice, unbiased review!

Personally, I think the sound relies more on knob color than tolex color. If a girl is listening she will always think the white tolex sounds better because it's prettier.

Mr Joe,

I asked Mr. DHL to take his photo and he said no problem!. The reason he looks like "WTF?" is because my phone camera was taking soo long to load and I was sitting there making him hold that heavy box to pose for a picture. Correction, it's a Diezel 1/4 stack. It'll be a 1/2 stack when it grows up.

Also, today I had a wonderful lunch filled with power chords thank you very much!

oh, BTW: I HAVE MY AMP AND YOU DON'T. neener neener.

Thanks for the compliments on the white. I swapped v1 and v2 with each other. I like it better now. Dude.. Ch4 is the shit now. To me the voicing sounds more even across the board. It's like ch2 and ch4 are closer voiced to ch3 with different gain structures. ch1 is better too. Mine have really similar tube load outs. I'm really diggin' it. Still have to explore it more to come to any sort of conclusion, but wow. It's just beautiful.

Agreed man, these amps are something else.... I'm gonna play with the stock setup for tubes, then try v1 and v2, but i couldn't be happier at the moment! Congrats again!
