Decided to check out some of their stuff since I've been wanting one of the DeMartini Charvel guitars. I really like Dancin' Undercover and Detonator. Awesome tone on those albums too. I guess Out Of The Cellar and Invasion Of Your Privacy are supposed to be their "best" albums but I don't seem to like those ones as much.

I currently have Looking For Love and Lovin' You's A Dirty Job stuck in my head. So catchy.

The intro riff in Looking For Love is so badass. And that bluesy lick that repeats throughout the verse riff in Lovin' You's A Dirty Job also rules.

Dancing Undercover is one of my fav RATT album, I can only tolerate so much until the Pearcy Headache takes over though.

My kingdom to remove all of his vocals from the albums.

I love ratt, they were the 1st band I really loved. I like pearcys vocals too, I think they fit good with ratt and recorded they are pretty good but live he's very weak.

Get the Ratt EP. I remember being like 15 and playing" You Think You're Tough" in a garage band.

I could never get past Pearcy's voice so I never really got into them, but I've always liked Warren's playing and tone. I'd like to hear him with a different singer.

I love pretty much all of Ratt's discography

A simple as it is, the intro riff to You're in Love still f'n rocks

DiMartini FTW, and don't ever forget King Crosby :rawk:

Fuckin' A. The intro to "You're in Love" is one of the biggest, meanest, badest riffs ever written or recorded. I love it.

It's one of about 5 reasons to tune to drop D.

I also like that self-titled Ratt album that's yellow and red on the cover. I think it came out in the late '90s or something.

Either way, Warren's playing is perfect to me. I love that dude...

Warren's playing on that album is incredible - I like the riffing and solos better than a lot of the heyday material, but it does have a very different feel than the classic Ratt.

I remember a couple of years ago a guy at work was jammin' Lay it Down, and I was really impressed with the tone on that tune, and the tune itself.

I can't believe someone like you likes the most cheeseball Ratt albums ever. lol! I agree those tunes are catchy. Very catchy, but man, I much prefer Out of the Cellar and Invasion of Your Privacy. Haha, I like the riffs and the actual songs more than the solos, but Warren is a cool player. Do any of you guys know what amps/guitars they used on Dancin' Undercover or Detonator?

Dancing Undercover was probably boosted Superlead. I think Detonator lined up with his switch to SLO. I know Warren was an early SLO fanboy, and I heard that he used to piss people off because of how he gushed about them!

I've always wanted to try a SLO, but they're so expensive. I love a lot of Marshall tones but I can never get the damn things to sound good when I play them. :aww:

I agree totally. I believe that's all SLO, right? His tone and phrasing just kill.

Sounds SLO to me. I thought his Diezels sounded good this past summer too!

I like the classic stuff, but Detonator is my favorite album. You can call it whatever you like, but it's some of their best songwriting and tone as far as I'm concerned.
