So 2021 is started, have any of you made any plans for new gear purchases? I think I'm hoping to get a single cut this year and possilby a 1x12 to run my PA50/Ceres rig. And I have a Quad Cortex on order that may or may not get cancelled(still on the fence).

I am starting to play on Sundays again after being off since august. Got a nux ss5 son order so I can use my Kingsley tube preamps direct.
Already got an ampeg v4 that I fixed up, mainly using it as a power amp in a reamp setup. May also use it with bass.

Currently gearing up for a 112 fender tone ring cab with a wgs blackhawk hp.

I’m just getting back into playing after a 10 year hiatus, during which I sold most of my gear. So I have a little catch up to do.

I just picked up a JJ Jr a few weeks ago. My only other planned purchases are a couple of pedals, a Quad Cortex, and a VH Mini (if it makes it to the US this year). I also hope to get a Vintera 50’s Roadworn Tele and a small combo amp (Bad Cat or Dr Z) if finances allow.

I've been selling stuff here and there and the gear market has been kind to me where I've been able to give people good deals on stuff but also make back however much I've spent on the piece of gear. I think I'm probably going to pick up one of the silver MXR 10-Band EQ's for loop use and possibly a new power amp. Honestly I'm more looking forward to the people I play with locally being able to be in the same room and play again (two members are high exposure risk in medical and two other members basically can't get sick otherwise they or a family member will likely die). Also looking forward to being able to tour with the Scandinavian band I play in and record a second album.

Sell everything by end of year. I’m closer succeeding at this than I was the last three years I’ve said it.
If you end up dumping your Peavey Classic Head in a couple months, let me know - might be interested in snagging it from ya if $ permits

The Classic 50 head?? Sold that one about a month ago. That was a really good amp.

Basically just this. Grabbed everything else I’d wanted end of December/early January; this was really the only thing left.

I've bought a few things in 2021. Got a PRS guitar, a Universal Audio Satellite Octo and a Softubes Console. Also bought a couple of plugins.

My overall objective is to downsize in 2021 though. I'd like to offload a few of my amps really, just too many to justify owning and the maintenance cost keeps spiralling. If I can move a couple, I might move in a Mesa Boogie of some kind though.

I just rewired my live rack to accommodate new inputs into our IEM rig. Now we can play acoustic mid set, or have a guest vocalist go through our rig. I also upgraded our mic splitter to the Art S8 from the Behringer and put all the FOH outputs on the front and moved the inputs to the back. Now I can't wait to lift this thing on a stage again. I won't even complain about how heavy it is!

/\BeZo that rig is awesome!! Was looking it all over....saw the ukulele labels and smiled huge!! I love ukulele!! I seriously looked at the SVT-2 PRO but wound up with the Darkglass alpha/omega. Still jealous of that amp tho....

Big big gear plans this year

I've ordered my first tube amp, a Ceriatone 2204 with some mods (and I have plans for a couple more mods to round it off).

So now I'm going through the process of planning my first pedalboard.

I run the B7K Ultra for grit and use the SVT as a pedal platform. The Darkglass stuff is great. I just love the SVT clean stuff.

We've been having fun with ukulele (well, acoustic stuff). We do acoustic versions of our songs alongside death metal and industrial covers. We do an upbeat cover of Stripped, Raped, and Strangled by Canibal Corpse. We've done NIN, Skinny Puppy, Ministry, Slayer, and stuff like that. Here's a video of us doing Pantera's Fucking Hostile where my girlfriend at the time punched some chick in the mosh pit.

Congrats! Hope you enjoy your first tube amp. There's nothing quite like the real deal.

Thank you. It's been a very long journey but everything has finally worked out to the point where I can make the jump from amp sims.

Nik makes a great 2204. You are going to love it
