I was given one of those M1000s a few years ago by a guy on HC, was the WORST amp I've owned.

If you take 2 JCM800 halfstacks, crank the shit out of them, use a Boss SD-1 and a chorus pedal, trust me, it won't need any mods to get that insane gain. The problem for me is i just can't crank a stock Marshall that loud.
