Ok folks....Got this Mark III that was damaged pretty cheap.
Contacted several members here (THANKS GUYS!!!)
They gave me input and guidance.
Called Mesa up today.
left a couple of voice mails.
Mike B called me back within an hour (He is the guy that mods the amps if you didnt know)
We talked about half hour. He was very very cool and easy to talk to. Explained about what he can do with the amp and what I wanted....etc. ;)

Got the call back from Customer service about an hour later. Asked a brief detail what I wanted as well.
Told Rich I talked with Mike B already and he was cool as well. Gave me an RMA#...
and I will be shipping the amp to them tomorrow. :D :D
All this was handled very smooth and professional.
I will keep this thread rolling till I get my amp back.
Which Mike B said will be the Three +++ mod ....... Double ++ mod....
Cant wait to check this bad bitch out.

Updates to follow. :2thumbsup:

Does it have to be a certain "stripe" to make this mod?
No the stripe he explained won't matter.
But ithe graphic eq and simulcass will make a difference if the bench amp don't have those.

Is it different than the ++ mod? In what way?
Your guess is good as mine. Mike just told me what he was gonna do.
Lol
Sounds awesome either way. ;)

I always liked the Mark IIIs as a kid, haven't played one in years...hope you love it, buddy!

This sounds like it could be bad-ass! Do tell.....what did you tell him you wanted?

We were just shooting the shit. Told him what I had. The stripe is blue on the amp. But he asked me for the serial number. Said it was green stripe.
Then he was talking about what the amp had?
Graphic eq. Simulcasts. Etc.
talked about jamming.
He told me about the mod. His price. Etc.
if anything was wrong he would make it correct in the amp.
Just a real real cool guy to talk to.
Basically he told me about the mod. Told me what it will be.
Who am I to argue?
Pretty fast turn around too.

Mike has updated / modded 2 of my amps in the last year. A MkIII blue & a Tremoverb. You will not be disappointed! Once he's done with them, I swear these old amps crush what is around new these days...

It's the ++ mod coming outta a Mark III, hence the 3 +s. Kind of a play on words.

...and yet less than a year ago I struggled to sell a Mark III++ for around $1,400? I should have kept it. The amp was ripping, always sounded consistently good and ran cold (meaning I could play it for 3 hours and the transformers would only be warm). This amp would piss all over other amps costing double or triple its price.

I have no doubt yours will be just like it.

You're a great player, I bet you would sound awesome through any stock Mark III, I think that or a MarkIV would suit your playing very well. I remember those old spider jam clips you would throw up and I was like damn this dudes got chops.

Thank you, sir!

I need to pull that Spider Jam out...forgot about that thing!

Have to admit, I've been looking at some Mesa stuff lately, especially with the release of the JP2C. Need to shoot down to the Sunset store.
