I have some experience...what era Les Paul are we discussing. My knowledge range is from 1959-68 for Gibson Les Pauls. If you're talking Historics, I'm not that well versed in them.

What's the question? I could help with questions regarding reissues

what do you need to know ? I have some knowledge being a gibson dealer and all =)

I will self appoint myself the resident lp expert if needed

I don't think he needs to know anything. He was just asking a question   Don't you know Danyeo yet.

I think everybody is already aware that I am,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, NOT an expert on anything

I'm an expert..ask me anything you need to know,
I'll research it on the interwebz, Spin all my gained knowledge
I learned in the last 5-10 minutes as though I've known it forever then....
:D

Les Paul was born Lester William Polsfuss, in Waukesha, Wisconsin, to George and Evelyn (1888–1989) (née Stutz) Polsfuss. His family was of German ancestry. Paul's mother was related to the founders of Milwaukee's Valentin Blatz Brewing Company and the makers of the Stutz automobile. His parents divorced when he was a child. The Prussian family name was first simplified by his mother to Polfuss before he took his stage name of Les Paul. He also used the nicknames Red Hot Red and Rhubarb Red.

Anything else? Just ask....

Dont know much on Les Pauls....
But I did read a few Hardy Boys Mystery books back in grade school.

No .... But I lived there when I was 6 & my aunt still lives there.

I'm guessing that we have more Inspector Clouseau's than Sherlock Holmes'.

Got your PM. Thanks for the info.

Well guys, I actually picked up a 1995 Standard from Sam Ash last week. It's a black one and got it for $1450 out the door. It's in good shape but I'm on the fence because it has a hump around the 7th - 11th fret. I told the guy I will bring it home and try to adjust, if I can't deal with it I'll be back and he was cool about it. It plays pretty good but the low E has a lot of buzzing going on and the hump won't go away after truss rod adjustments.

I don't want to have to set a neck a certain way because of a hump then level frets off. I expect some resistance if/when I bring this back to Sam Ash. In the meantime I was checking out other used standards and just wanted to check on one from the 70's the LPfreak was kind enough to offer some advice on.
