Howzit guys! Has anyone else had significantly less time to play now that everyone is quarantined? Fkn A man... I have a stack of amps I want to crank the fck up but end up getting sucked into re-potting the plants or "lets clean the house" and "can you go thru this..."

Anyway I managed to do a quick recording yesterday of the Dirty Shirley straight into the Suhr RL with only a Zuul noise gate. At first it wasn't really matching what I was playing but stuck with it anyway. Now that its done, I like it. Not as much gain as I'm use to using but it sounds more early 80's to me with less gain  Anyway I hope all is well in RT land

Ever try a SS rectifier in there? Big improvement IMO. Cool tune

It‘ll take some of that sag out. For what they cost it’s definitely worth try. Takes two seconds to pop it in.

Thanks! So this would tighten up the amp I'm guessing? I'll probably try it but I like this amp for its sag honestly. Or does it leave just enough? I'll have to experiment

It won’t eliminate the sag it just reduces it. Like I said, it’s worth trying. For 15 bucks what’s to loose?

You whip ass with that DS for sure!! G^D DAMN cool jam!! I got a question though...

HOW DID YOU GET THAT FOOTAGE OF THE WUHAN LAB!?!?

Hahaha... its funny you say that, I was debating on adding some text at the beginning saying "Somewhere in a remote Wuhan laboratory" but was afraid youtube might flag me again for being fake news or something lol.

You got skilz..You made a rock/bluez amp sound Metal!

Well I`ve had less time to play plugged into the big amps due to the whole family being home and realistically not being able to crank them up loud so I'm either noodling unplugged or plugged into my Blackstar Fly and even that can be a bit loud on the family :( your clip sounds great by the way

Dude...your vids ALWAYS impress!

Not sure I would gel with that tone for what I do, but you just plain kill it, as usual!

Rock on

Badass! I have messed around with SS rectifiers similar and they can be pretty cool.

Also I have sag modded a VK (when it was working) and that was kind of cool too. It was a little different. I made the mod switchable. But I have not touched that amp in probably 6+ years, and that is because it is 220v and the fuses went in the step up transformer and in the amp. Haven't dug back into it. Lol. It was kind of cool though.

Thanks Hammered! I feel ya man, being stuck at home but not able to plugin kinda sucks. My wife is back at work now so I get to plugin a little.

Thanks T! Yeah the DS makes me want to play old school Priest and Maiden kinda of stuff. It just has that old school sound to it which I love.

Thanks Swamptrash! I need to stop looking for TP online and order a ss rectifier already

Brah that is badass!!! That goes to show that less gain can still chug nicely. Really good tone and perfect for those 80s riffs!!
