Amp ho
SOLD

Selling this for a friend, Andy A. He’s been a member here for a while, lost his password info and has a new username now, but now enough posts to post in the classifieds. There are several people on here who can vouch for Andy. He’s a great dude and knows C+’s as well as anyone- he has a couple! Shoot me a message and I will put you in touch with him directly and you guys can go from there- he’s a great dude and at the least you will be able to talk to someone who’s incredibly enthusiastic about C+’s (Or C++’s I should say, as he’s all about that mod in particular). He’s located in California.

Detailed pictures below as well as paperwork from Mike B to back everything up.

From Andy:

Mark IIC++ HRG
Original Mark IIC HRG combo- placed in aftermarket, original pattern black Tolex headshell, with removable “Mark IV style” front panel to be able to access preamp tubes without removing chassis from headshell.
All newer tubes- preamp tubes are mainly C8 12AX7s and power tubes are matched quad TAD
6L6GC-STRs.
Converted from IIC to IIC++ in March, 2018
All Mesa paperwork included-
Amp gone through top to bottom by Mike B with parts list included in Mesa paperwork.
Caps, rebuilt pots and sliders that were needed, new fan and reverb tank.
Amp absolutely kills.
SOLD $3500 shipped

Thanks man

Great amp at a fair price. My 2nd C+ purchase was also an HRG ++, different head shell and it was very hard to sell her. Fantastic amp and the best configuration for tight metal, with the 100pt. It'll do anything of course, but it is a tighter/faster response than the DRG or SRG. Only the Coliseum has a faster/tighter thing going on.

GLWTS!

I much prefer the 100 transformer in 2C++ amps. The 100 is more aggressive and makes the amp more versatile for playing both rhythm and lead. I found that the 105 with simul made the amp too smooth. Sure it was great having that “liquid lead” tone, but I play rhythm too and chords wouldn’t have the same clarity as a 100 transformer.

Indeed. I agree.

Leave the DRGs for the smooth jazz, blues, and country peeps.
