Will you need to use a boost or od to get HBE type tones?
 
yea its gets pretty aggressive. Smokes the regular taco, no boost needed.
 
Do you have to crank up the amp volume to get to HBE territory?
 
Great amp. I have one and LOVE it.
Don't need to crank it. Doesn't need a boost.
 
I played this amp....It really impressed me big time....Tons of gain and great tone....
