I have not played one , very curious for opinions. It seems if its not the SLO it's not such a hot topic. I know the build would have to be solid.. what would a good used one be worth?.. I know YouTube has lots of clips and the reviews are good.. I'd like to hear some previous/present owners takes on the tones, gain, best features. Hope that's a reasonable request..

Nothing wrong with the HR 100... you can change out a few things to match the SLO.. I think the gain pot is a different value and a few other minor things.

Thanks! I was not intending to take away from the HR100. I see a few here and there used, not many threads on them. Wondering what a good price on one would be. Thinking of getting one in a trade.

For the usual price it goes for in the used market, it's a lot of amp for the $$.

It's a good amp. Build-wise it's no SLO--PCB mounted input, pots and preamp sockets. Not worth much more than $1200 IMO.

Clean channel and shared EQ are "meh." Old ones didn't have the deep knob. If you don't need the loop I might look at an Avenger for less money.

I had one before my first SLO, was a solid amp. Paid 1K for it. But after I got an SLO it was no contest. Still a nice amp for 1K.
