Thats right, the Rectifier was introduced in 1992 and was a copy
of the SLO100 circuit.

But when we talk about "1st High Gain with cascaded tubes" it's
Randall Smith invention

Mesa boogies were the first High gain amps to be comercialized IMHO.
Im sure that there were probably other guys in the 60s-70's who tinkered
with cascading gain stages but Randall Smith was the first to break out
hence.. Brand name recognition!!

That said, The Boogie IIB was the first real high gain amp with the first
Boogies being the first comercial high gain amps. If you listen to Brad Gillis'
tone on the live Ozzy album from back in the day, you'll see how much gain
those amps had.(IIB's)
