I've been thinking about buying the SLO-30 for a while now and with a Birthday and the Holidays coming up my wife pushed me to buy one.
I have a Soldano Astro 20 which has become my favorite amp due to great tone and 4 footswitchable channel/galaxies making it vey versatile.
The SLO-30 from all my research is more raw and bigger sounding than the Astro, so this should be a great pair of amps.
I currently have a Friedman Little Sister Head and a Friedman JEL-20 head both with matching Friedman 1x12 cabinets.
My Soldano Astro 20 also uses a Friedman 1x12 cab.
The Soldano was a pricey amp, more than I have ever spent on an amp, but I feel it will be worth it.
I don't need to sell anything, but I am going to part with my Friedman JEL-20, great amp, but not as versatile as the Soldano Astro 20, so it won't get used.
Then when the Soldano SLO arrives, that will make it even more expendable.
The Friedman Little Sister has such amazing tone I won't part with it.
I know it won't get used nearly as much, but it will be one heck of a 3rd amp.
I truly believe the Little Sister has the best tone out of any amp I have ever owned, but I am hoping the SLO-30 changes that.
The Little Sister loves a TS808 or SD-1 as a boost, just an amazing amp.
My plan eventually will be to keep the SLO at my primary residence as my main amp, the Astro at my vacation home, and the Little Sister at my primary residence.
I can't wait to post up my first impressions of the SLO.
