Quick reamping test. The VH 140 has tons of gain and might sound a bit fizzy , but it's a real beast! The 8100 can get really tight but lacks gain. Also, it is more versatile. I like both for different reasons!

This is making me reconsider selling my 8100. Playing the 8100 is so different than playing a tube amp, it just responds so much differently, much harder to get the dynamics I am used to, but I like the fast response.

I like the 8100 more as it has much more Marshally mids and upper mids. Duh!

Like the 8100 more through my studio speakers, but honestly, in person could be a different ball game. Both are badass amps that I would love to play.
