Amp ho
Thing is so fun. Couldn’t stop playing til I was sweating and realized the AC went out on me. Had it set up for an over the top modded Marshall tone but still tight and punchy. I go back and forth on which GZ amp I prefer, the hellion or moab. Today it was definitely moab. Tomorrow- who knows?

What differences do you find between the two?

I'm trying to sell my plexi to get a Hellion

MOAB is more true to the upper mid Marshall sound, Hellion is more of its own thing - slightly more “modern”. While the MOAB is tight with a slight bounce to it, Hellion is ultra tight but not in that clanky way- with certain settings it’s similar to how a wizard responds. Very authoritative. Can have a pretty monstrous low end and reminds me of some of my mesas as well. Was just talking with a friend who has a hellion and oddly enough it reminds us both of a c+/mark amp more than anything, just wider and more room filling.

They’re more similar than different, but when you’re the one playing- it’s pretty obvious that they are different animals.

Sounds evil! I like!

sometimes when I hear modded Marshall's or similar circuits I swear they sound like boogies to me. That thing does not. Just a really mean Marshall growl.
