I know Brent does...Bill has a lot of amps but I know he hasn't used a Diezel on any recordings.
And as for Metallica: have they used Diezels on recording? If so, I hate to be a jerk, but I doubt it was from any of the albums which were, well...good!
No shot at Diezel. But Metallica has been dead for nearly 15 years...

hetfield used the VH4 extensively on the St.Anger record .
you can clearly hear it - far more organic tone than the usual boogie sound .

Personally I think the tone of the downtuned axes on St. Anger is about the best I've heard anywhere, but that's just me, and yeah James used his Diezels to record it.
