Sovtek 12ax7wb??

Man been using JJ 12ax7s from eurotubes in my plexi/jcm800 style amps - listening to the new Vandenberg made me feel like my tone was kinda fizzy. Popped in some Sovtek 12ax7wb ‘s man I think it’s a much clearer tone. I dont wanna go down the whole nos rabbit hole, but what production 12ax7 tubes are you guys using in plexi/800 style amps??

I have used Sovtek 12ax7wb and wa's in my Rivera R100 for years - the only preamp tubes that make that amp sound right.

In 800’s……

EH 7025 in V1
Gold pin JJ83s in V2 (yes, they are noticeably different from standard pin)
Mullard CV4004 in PI

Agree. Tung-Sol is my favorite.
I can also recommend to try JJ and Mullard.
