If anyone is interested, PM me. The head is stock with EL34 Mullard reissues, GT Mullard reissue Preamp tubes, Custom Tube-Buffered effects loop...its had its share of wear and tear, a couple of the bottom plastic cups around the screws have been broken off, but other than that, it sounds like a MARSHALL should sound! asking $1200.

Thump should really look into this amp instead of a JCM800 reissue....

How is the effects loop on the amp? Also is that a 16, 8, and 4 ohm impedance selector?

the effects loop is awesome. its got a true bypass as well. I use it all the time. yes it is impedance switch selector. standard pin.

That's un nice amp, someone with bread should buy it, I played it a couple times myself.

Those are the amps that Ronnie LeTekro used in TNT (Both stock and Modded Preamp section) They sound killer cranked up through h30's or greenies IMHO

did he really? that guy did some wicked shit back then! The cool thing about these heads IMO, is when plugged into a 4X12 cab with the speakers u mentioned and with a good OD pedal and nice delay in the loop, its super fun to play at even bedroom volumes. I believe Michael Schenker used these as well during MSG years. I just have to dump it because i have the same animal as 100w version along with 2 other marshall heads from from different eras. Keep in mind too, that this is not a bright sounding master head either like a lot of them were, so you can plug your strat in and not get sandblasted with ice pick torture!

I miss the days of Ralph spending money like a drunken sailor on leave in San Fran. This new fiscally responsible Ralph is boring. ;)

I'd by it Ant but I have that tone covered by my '83 50w 800

Yeah bro! He used a Roland space echo and an old Boss OD pedal in front of the amp and cranked the bitch through vintage h30's. Sounded KILLER!!
I spoke to an old friend of his and he said that you couldn't really tell when he used the modded Marshalls or the Stock ones. The modded ones had more midrange added in the preamp section.
