EDIT: links are fixed
I recently installed some MC90s in my Mesa Traditional 4 x 12 (Just 2) and I looooove em. They are nice and smooth. This morning I did some clips comparing them to the stock V30s. Then I did a mix of both. Whatcha thinks? Which would you pick and why?

I think the V30s are a bit louder so lower your volume a smidge after listening to the first clip. The amp is an ENGL SE (EL34s).

The links don't work.

I am interested in this though, I'm using an X pattern with V30's and G12K100's in my Diezel cab, but I think the MC90 is a better speaker than the K100 and they sound similar, from what I've gathered. I'm not all that impressed with the K100, they seem kind of cheap to me when comparing the magnets with something like a V30.

I think the links are broken!

But i checked out the clips on Netmusicians homepage and they sound killer. I actually can't pick a winner out of the two since i could be happy with either speaker. I like how the V30's sound a bit more upfront and slightly more aggressive sounding

I prefer the V30s. The MC90s sound nice, but they're a bit too scooped for me.

Do you mind if I repost this on the Boogie forum? The MC90 vs V30 has come up a lot lately, particularly with the increase in popularity of Marks.

Let 'er rip!

Great job! I thought the MC90's sounded killer, but I also thought that the V30's could have been better represented. Could have been a little more full sounding, for my liking anyway. I pick MC90's for the comparison for that reason. Did you end up going 2 and 2, or all 1 speaker type?

I have MC90's and they have a HUGE hump in the midrange and are anything but scooped..but.... when compared to the v30 clips I can see why you would say what you did LMAO. That shows me just how much midrange and highs the v30's have LMAO.
Im with Dan and could Live with either.
I think the combo of both sounded killer.

I have a couple cabs loaded with MC90s and I agree. The MC90s have more than enough midrange... but it's kind of like standing a 400lb woman next to a 200lb woman... .suddenly the 200lb woman's mid hump doesn't seem so big anymore.
