I suspect that one of my weber legacies needs a recone.I am hoping not but I get crackling from this thing when i hit the low E string. I let the note ring out and there goes the crackle. Anyone else experience this on specific notes? Prob wouldn't be worth it to send it back from Canada either so might have to bite the bullet and get another if this one is toast.

No clue! I remember when i first loaded these into my cab, there was one note that created a buzz... that was a buzz, not a crackle. Since then I moved the cab to the other side of the room and haven't noticed a thing.I thought it was phase related. Started noticing this yesterday and now today it is really odd. I've tried diff speaker cables to no avail. Very odd.. open E and A to B on low E string. More phase issues? Maybe the cab is not handling the awesome power of my 2204! I have more than enough wattage for a 50 watter though. 2 65 W legacies and 2 25 W greenies.

Did you isolate it to one speaker? I'd check your mounting screws on the speaker and on the cabinet.

I had a buzz coming from my cabinet once and it turned out to be the metal cover on my speaker cable came slightly loose and would vibrate when I'd hit low notes.

Good point, I'll pop off the back of the cabinet tomorrow and see if one of the speaker wire ends didn't vibrate off the speaker. I found them to fit a little loose on the terminals of the weber's actually. Totally possible when moving the cab around.
