So i have currently the New Diezel RL cabinet.

What im doing is replacing the speakers... again.

I just ordered a pair of Celestion Rola CL-80s.. THEY TURNED OUT TO BE 15 ohms though...:/

Here is the question. With the design of the cabinet on the back pannel saying mono 8ohms..Can the new RL cabinet do 4 16 ohm speakers..? (2 15ohm and 2 16 ohm)? And HOW should i wire them?

I have a herbert.

Basically you should pair 16 ohm speakers with 16 ohm speakers and 8 ohm speakers with 8 ohm speakers. There is no way of combining 16 and 8 ohm speakers to get a 8 ohm cab for example.

Usually 8 ohm cabs are wired with 2 speakers in series and then the two pairs in parallel.

8 + 8 Ohm parallel to 8 + 8 Ohm = 16 Ohm parallel to 16 Ohm = 8 Ohm of total impedance. So you would always produce a mismatch with different impedances.

Hope that helped.

Question is now.. Series or Parallel. OR Series/Parallel?
I dont know if the back of the cab makes any difference of what you can put in it.
I think what i want is to use the 16ohm mono out of the diezel into the cab. I just need to know how to wire all four speakers...

You should not worry about the 15 ohm, it really doesn't matter, just treat them as 16.

From what I understand you also have two more 16 ohm speakers.
So, you can wire them all in paralel, resulting a 4 ohm cab, or a series/paralel configuration, where you get 16 ohm. You cannot get 8 ohms out of four 16 ohm speakers

Cool.
I cant WAIT to update you as to how these speakers sound!!

I found a (rare) pair of mint vintage Celestion rola G12-80's, and have heard nothing but great stuff about these things.
Im gonna pair them with either C90's or cl 80s..gigitty!
