Can someone please explain the tonal happiness or unhappines that i would find by putting V30's in an X pattern with my G12H30's. I'm using a Marshall Slash Jubilee into a Marshall 1960BHW, I play punk rock/Hardcore (think bad religion meets madball) i have half my guitars in Eflat and the other half in D standard.

I've used that combo for a while now and I think it sounds awesome!

Not sure I've ever heard a complaint about that combo. Folks really love it in a 212 as well. So even though I haven't tried it, my bet is that you would find happiness with it!!!

Happiness cause it sounds great when amp is setup right and the speakers mixed compliment each other well.

unhappiness is when no sound man out there wants to dual mic a guitar cabinet because of 2 different speakers.

That combination is very articulate. Clear as it gets. that would be a good help for the amp you are using. I actually don't like that combination for a lot of the modded Marshalls, Golub, Cameron,etc....

I have a Bogner cab that has 2 Celestions V30's and 2 Hellatone 30's in an X pattern and it sounds awesome. What sounds even more awesome is my Marshall cab that has 2 Celestion GT75's and 2 Celestion G12H. Seems that the Marshall cab does have more thump while the Bogner cab has that classic "Brown" tone! I'm just sayin'

I didnt like that combo in mine,,but the v30 with 12t75 thats another story, great combo..

I have a cab that has 2 GT75's and 2 V30's in an X pattern and it sounds perfect! Previously I had 2 Hellatone 30's and 2 V30's but it sounded too compressed. The breakup was too broken up if you know what I mean!?
