I have to chime in since I am a fanboy. I love my TAGs. My Drop Top is mahogany with quilted maple top and chocolate maple neck. My Classic is Alder body with a chocolate maple neck. Two completely different guitars that I really love. I am hopin to add one more this year sometime.

Sweet guitars, fellas. Just full of pure fucking awesomeness. And I am an LPC guy! TAG's make me really want a super strat, though.

Since this thread has derailed a bit. . .here's one more! 1995 EVH, one of the last made.

Okay, I promise I'm done.

I love Anderson. I think for LP guys his guitars are pretty accessible because his Drop Tops with the H2+ are really ballsy sounding. Probably why i see some traditional strat guys say they don't work for them. But, Anderson makes the classic model and he makes some traditional sounding single coils as well.

I would love it more with an ebony fingerboard. But, it's still awesome.

I am going to have TAG build me a custom one off with 100 year old mahogany that my family inherited. Gonna be a fun build!

I love this one.
Thanks, me too. This is one of the only guitars I picked up for the first time and it felt like it was "mine".

Same thing happens to me every time I open one of these threads... I look, I know, I acknowledge, and I want... I sometimes even justify and rationalize on the spot and order the ax in a separate window of my browser. Yes, impulse purchases - the expensive kind. But I gotsta say, sure, I want one, might get one, but when it comes down to it - I always remind myself what my heros of the past in rock'n'roll and blues and jazz did with SO little.

It ain't the product, it's the passion

But sure, hot little numbers to browse fo'shizzle...

V.

PS - Reza, what you do through your strat proper?? beats the tar outta the poseurs out there with $5000 axes and only pentatonic knowledge, if that!!

esp. the yellow and THE BLACK ones....what an instrument!! Reminds me to my beloved Bora Bora, that I had to sell:-(

Best wishes ;)

I like really fat sounding Superstrats- I mean the woods and Guitar itself- where it overlaps into set neck type bloom and sustain, and I can get it thinner when I need to with pickup switches....

Only played 2 Andersons but they seemed to have this quality- very loud and full unplugged- are most of them like this or was I just playing two very good examples ?

That's a looker. TA always does great trans-black quilts... more so than the competition.

Ive always thought that Tom made incredible stuff but for some reason Suhr has always had a slight edge for me and at the level that those guys build at its probably nothing more than personal preference. Ive always felt just a little more comfortable on Suhrs though I have played several TA's that were outstanding...
