Even though the fan in the M4 is very, very quiet, the fan in my RT2/50 sounds like a whole-room fan, it's so loud. (Sure moves air, though!) :D

So now I have a problem I didn't have before when I was only using my fan-less AC30: How to minimize the fan noise during recording. The amp is in its own 2U rack case and that cuts the noise down a bit, but it's still very noticeable even in ambient noise situations.

I know I could move the speaker cab into another room for recording but that creates some logistic headaches that I'd prefer to avoid.

Any ideas?

Need a different one. I have the model but I will have to look for it and post it tomorrow.

Thanks, Jeff. :)

I also have an RT2/50 with a loud fan. It's not so bad in a rack mount, but I'd still like to change it out. Jeff, please let us know where to get the replacement fan. Thanks!
