Ok I'll admit his playing really made me WTF in that one   Damn that Rebecca Dirks is cute. Gotta love the crotch shot as they show off the metal pick.

I gotta say, I kinda dig those Jackson PC1's. Seems like a great all-around fiddle.

I owned one for quite a few years. The guitar has a GREAT feel, but I have to say the wood combination isn't necessarily the best for GREAT tone ....

Personally I don't care for the Mahogany body, Maple neck combination .... If it were me, I'd have made the body either alder or maybe basswood

"... it's litrallay two JMP1's..." Love the accent! haha.

I would be so embarrassed talking to a chick about gear like that. Probably every other word out of my mouth would be "are you SURE you really want to hear about this sh*t?"

Speak for yourself! I could think of very few other topics (i.e. sports, guns, cars, beer) that would be as cool of a discussion topic with an attractive female. I can talk to my wife for days about my guitars and amps, but to her, I am sure all she hears is white noise. I've heard that chick ask about tube types. Again, if some attractive young female uttered "EL34" in my presence, I might ask her to marry me.

Having seen a few Phil Collen vids lately, he loves that super fast picking non-sense stuff followed by a dose of his "su-staine-uh."

I knew he left that thing on all the time.

All the latest stuff is Guitar Rig 4 too apparently.. and he uses a palmer speaker simulator live? PFFFFFTTTTTTT lol.... that said, they always had a heavily processed sound so I guess it doesn't matter.

What type of Dimarzio is in there anyway? Keeps mentioning dimarzio but not the type. I'm going to guess PAF Pro as it looks like the one i have on hand.

I've got one & they are pretty nice guitars. The sustainer is awesome, but the pickups are not my cup of tea......really dark and kind of muddy to my ears. I only play it once in a great while, but it's nice to have for some added versatility.

That bastard has the titanium saddles on all his Floyds, I wonder if he had to pay full price for them? $795 per guitar x around 10 he has is a boatload of $$$.

Cool gear runthrough. I like those Jackson Supremes, and the thick necks.

That chick is the most knowledgeable person working for Premier Guitar unless they have acquired some other good ones, most of those interviews remind me of Guitar Center knuckleheads.

remember he has hysteria money, i threw in my 15 bucks back in the day. cassette. and later cd.

Super3

Super3 no kidding.. had a green one in my first axe. Left me feeling largely underwhelmed. It felt flat to me. I like the Paf Pro much more but even that doesn't seem as natural as playing a duncan. That said I have an air classic in the neck of my fat strat and it feels and sounds great. I like it.

I also agree with the over use of the sustainer.. he can play blues licks and pentatonics but when he goes for those fast jumbled alternate picking runs, it sounds like a mess. Also, why not learn to coax real sustain and feedback from your guitar Hendrix style instead of relying on a switch.

Is that a Fernandez Sustainer or the Sustainiac? He must eat batteries like mad leaving them on all the time.... Yikes!

It's neither. It is the Floyd Rose sustainer system. It's an 18 volt system (requires 2 9-volt batteries to run it). As far as I know, it's only available as OEM on the PC1 these days, unless you can find an older one used somewhere.

Agreed, but he has a massive amounts of Def Lep cash, so he can be frivolous with shit like that. I noticed in the above video that he only replaced his saddles on most his Floyds, with the titanium ones. I initially thought he might be trying to be economically smart and only replace the parts that make a difference, instead of replacing it with a whole titanium Floyd unit. But again, I think he is only trying to maintain the appearance of "mostly" gold hardware, because he could certainly afford to spend some of his Def Lep cash stash, if he chose to. Besides.....Floyd Upgrades would probably donate a couple to him, if he kept talking about them in interviews like that, if he really wanted them.

Holy shit the size of that sc neck!!!!!!!!!

Baseball bat has nothing on that bakery roller

saw him playing the jackson supreme on TMS the past few episodes....i love the way that looks.

Shame about the way he made it sound   I swear all I could see was a turkey fight in my mind. Made King and Hanneman sound like Eric Johnson.
