What a massive tube! I can't find a spec sheet for it, though.

What amount of voltages does it take to operate it?

I'll see if I can ask Mike when I talk to him next!

Here's at least one source for them: http://thetubestore.com/russian6c33b.html

...and the datasheet: http://lib.store.yahoo.net/lib/thetubestore/RU-6C33C.pdf

This tube has an extremely low plate voltage -- 120 Vdc. Given this and the relatively low plate resistance, there some really cool designs that don't utilize an output transformer. One of these days I'd like to find some time and experiment with these guys.

The *appearance* of a lack of OT was one of the things that had me really curious about these tubes. I couldn't spot one on the Tuzzia demo I watched. Thanks for the info!

There are indeed output transformers guys. Big ones...they are behind the back panel.

Ah! That's why I didn't see them in the Demo.
