Willing to find a new home for my Fully Loaded 50 Watt Splawn Nitro. Full Size Plexi Headshell and traditional Black with Gold cosmetics. Literally never left my house. No smoke, no spills, no smells, no bumps or bruises. I bought this amp brand new from Scott - it was a special order and arrived in May of 2018. Old/New Voicing Switch and Mid Cut/Boost Switch. All of Scott’s 50 watt variants operate at lowered B+ Voltage so they are Drop B+ by default. Sounds incredible. Definitely does the huge, tight thumping low end mid scoop thang in spades. But with the ‘Old’ Voicing, the Mids engaged, and the Resonance rolled back, you can get convincing JCM800 tones that take boosts wonderfully.
So why would I sell? Well, I owned a 100 watt QR and a 100 Watt Nitro before Scott offered the new voicing options. By then, I realized 50 watts was God’s Plenty volume for my needs. So I sold both of my 100 watt heads and ordered a Fully Loaded QR and this Fully Loaded Nitro. I love both amps. But, with my QR in 3rd Gear, OD-2, ‘New’ voicing with Mids ‘Cut’ I can get close enough into ‘Nitro’ territory that it is a bit redundant to own both amps. To be sure, the resonance control on the Nitro does add a degree of low-end thump beyond what the QR can duplicate. But I find myself gravitating toward 1st Gear on the QR these days and just don’t play with this much gain any more.
I have rolled alotta’ glass through this amp - so I will ship it with the original Splawn Labeled Valve-Art EL34s and unlabeled Chinese 12AX7s that it shipped with. The original glass has very, very low hours. WIll ship in original SPLAWN double boxing with 4-button footswitch.
New - $2,200.00 / RT Price - $1,750.00.
*** I will pay Fed-X Insured Shipping CONUS for an RT sale at my asking price - save $450.00 and get free shipping ***
I will try to link a very short YouTube Vid of this thing with the Resonance and Gain down, Old voicing and Mids in copping a workable ‘Brown Sound’ - This vid is only to show how versatile this amp really is - we all know it can do the sooper-scooped, gained out thump thing with ease.
P.S. - Just noticed that the face of the 'Volume' Knob in the 3rd pic looks silver - it is definitely Gold like the others. I just caught the reflection in that picture to make it look silver for some reason(?)
