Just a quick demo I did on my iPhone 4. Sound is fairly shit, but since it's my first demo I am not too fussed about it. :)

Guitar is a 30th anniversary Schecter with SD Blackouts. Just some dicking around and riffs I wrote for my band. The playing could be better, could be worse...  I'll see if I can put something better together tonight at rehearsal where I can open things up a little more. Maybe getting a little distance between the mic on the phone and the amp will help with the sound a bit.

sounds good dude, i used my herbert for a show over the weekend and honestly i thought the nitro sounded better in a band mix, i know you had a herbert and sold it and bought my nitro, have you used it yet with your band and if so did you like it better than the herbert ?, the mids was the biggest difference i noticed when playing with the drums and bass.

i turned off the mid cut and played the herb on ch2+ with the mids at 2:30, bass at 11:00, treble at 12:00, pres at 2:00 and depth at 11:00 and as you can see i didnt scoop the mids or try and use too much lows or mid cut, at one point i had the mid cut turned on and the intensity was at 8:30 and level at 12:00 and kinda went back and forth with it but ended up turning it off at times. i also used my uberkab with it and mic'd the v30 to see if that would make it have more cut, i tried clean boosting it too. the amp sounded good but not great to me compared to the other amps i have used live.

Thanks Tom!

I used it with my band for the first time last week, but haven't played a show with it yet. First show with the Splawn will be on the 28th, and I will be sure to let you know how it performed.

I have to be honest, with the band the Splawn is insanely present and in your face. The Herbert sounded kick ass, and I still intend to replace it at some point, but I am happy with the Splawn enough that I am not in a hurry to replace the Herbie, and I would be very unlikely to bring the Herbert back into the SwampDonkey mix just because the Nitro seems to have a bigger sonic footprint and fits our sound better than I ever thought it would. Our bass player has a pretty sweet Ampeg rack setup, very nice bass tones, it goes together with the Nitro like peanut butter and jelly.

Thanks man! Not bad for a phone video...

I tried to get some better stuff at the studio last night but I didn't have a lot of time to get it right since we are getting ready for a show in just over a week. I'll do a proper demo of the cleans and everything when I get some time. People have been saying how bad the clean channel is on the Nitro, but I actually find it quite nice.
