I stumbled upon the thread about the Randall cab going for almost nothing on MF. I picked one up on impulse, hoping to couple it with my KT88 equipped Nitro. I currently have a Splawn 4x12 with V30's and H30's and it sounds awesome with my Single Rectoverb but I've NEVER liked V30's with the Nitro.

Will I like the G12T-75's or will they be too harsh? I'm having a bit of buyers remorse already :scared:

If your Nitro was EL34 I'd be more worried, but I think the KT88'S will balance out the frequencies in the G12T-75S and you'll be OK. As with anything Splawn, make sure you dial it in with your ears and not your eyes. If it just so happens the sound absolutely kills with the bass on zero, mids at noon, and treble all the way up, so be it. Your eyes would tell you there's no way that EQ'ing could sound good--trust your ears, and don't be afraid to call Scott for advice.

I had KT88'S in my Nitro for a while and the sound was thunderous. If I had been the only guitarist in the band I would have kept it like that. However, for the band setting the EL34'S cut better... But I'm also running through a Splawn 4x12 with Small Blocks

Play it cuz you love it!

I love my Nitro I sold it and bought it back because nothing thumps like a Nitro I'm hoping this will be a good cab for a wet/dry setup I'm working on.
