Hey guys with a SPLAWN Quickrod 100. When you are in HALF POWER mode do all 4 of your POWER TUBES still glow? Thank you.

Yes the Cathode heaters are still on keeping the cathodes plates up to operating temps so they are ready if you switch it back to full power. Only the Plate voltage and amplified signal has been removed from two tubes hence the half power. Not sure if it's wired to take the outer two or the inner two tubes out of service while in half power mode but it will be one or the other.

Also make sure you half the impedance of your cab. So in half power mode, if you have a 16ohm cab, set the head for 8ohms. If an 8ohm cab, 4ohms on the head.

This. Ran my 100 watt Quick Rod like that. Scott said it's perfectly fine.

^ It is more than 'perfectly fine' it is preferred.

If you decide to run half power full time like I do, then you can just pull the outer 2 tubes. You may want to rebias though.
