i've had some of these laying around for maybe 2 years or better, and finally got off my ass and tried them! :lol: :LOL:


got to say i'm impressed! :rock: i put a pair vertically in a front load, with a pair of Scumbacks in the other half, and then A/B'b them by covering one side at a time with doubled up towel.


they held thier own against the Scumbacks! i'd give a very slight edge for sound to the Scumbacks, and the edge to the Small blocks for playing feel. over all in this front loaded cab, i'd take the Small blocks.
 
I really love mine with my QR. Best speaker I've ever tried with that amp.
 
Yep. I have them mixed with governors in both of my cabs. :rock:
 
Recently got my Splawn cab with Small Blocks and racing stripes.

It rapes.

I've heard great things about those speakers. I owned a QR for s few weeks and couldn't get along with it. My cab has V30s and I have heard tons of users who said that those speakers are the worst match for the QR. Sounds like Small Blocks are a perfect match. Too bad I didn't try any when I had it.

Is that a red light in that Splawn or does it just throw a red aura of awesomeness by nature?
 
I don't own a Splawn amp anymore; however, I didn't like the Small Blocks with my Morris amp. Both the EVH Greenbacks and Emi. Private Jacks sounded much better to my ears.

looks awesome in the dark.

I read on the Splawn boards that Scott may have moved from Eminence to Warehouse Guitar Speaker for his speakers. I got mine in November so I'm not sure exactly which ones but they sound great.

I don't think anyone knows. I'm tempted to open her up and look - its just such a pain in the ass. I bet Josh at Splawn knows. I'll send him an email. Speaking of which - did you get your amp shipped off yet? You should start a thread here on your 'problem'. Lots of amp builders/modders hang out here ;)

so is this definite, that he's using Warehouse to make his own speakers now?
