Splawn Super Comp footswitch and what it actually does

I've recently picked up a Super Comp used .... and wondering what the footswitch actually does ..

It's the mode button I'm wondering about ... does it actually do something on the Super Comp

from what I've been able to find on the net other than the manual stating the two different Overdrives and solo boost there isn't a real mention of what the mode button does

Splawn has 3 or 4 versions of footswitches. The Mode switch is only used to switch Gears IIRC. The Super Comp is a single (OD) channel version of the Nitro. Therefore, because your amp does not have Gears, my guess is that your Mode button does nothing. Can I assume that's what you've discovered? It does nothing?

The User Manual seems to indicate that too but I had to put two and two together to attempt to answer your question. Can you tell us exactly what your footswitch options give you in total?

Good luck. Have fun. I'm sure it is a beast of an amp

It's a 3 button switch ... Mode , OD I / II and Boost .....
I found a thread somewhere where someone was stating the Mode Button switches the voicing from the Nitro to a more Quickrod type .
I actually do notice ( unless it's my stoned ass imagination ) a difference when I hit it ... less compressed and a little more open
problem is I can't find any definitive info on it ...

OK. Wow. That is weird. Weed can do that
No seriously, that would be the first I've heard of that.
If you find that info/thread send it my way.
There is probably info on the Splawn forum.
The only thing that I can think of remotely close to what you are describing would be the new/old switch option - which I doubt you even have on your Super Comp.

I found it mentioned here ......https://www.thegearpage.net/board/index.php?threads/splawn-supercomp.495606/

a little bit into thread someone posted this from Rig Talk ....https://www.rig-talk.com/forum/index.php?posts/446970/#p446970

but it comes up " post could not be found "
