No goop. Just damn clean work. Had to change my R30 bias resistor to help with getting the amp into the correct range. My amp started life in 2005 as a Pro Mod, so it came with KT88s. The previous owner converted it to EL34s and picked a resistor that was half way between the proper value for KT88s and EL34s. So I changed it to the value that Scott said is correct. I always smile when I have to open this amp. The work is just dead sexy.

Agreed. My amp has been rock solid and I play the shit out of it. I know most amps in the classifieds are smoke free/pet free/never been turned up/have less than 10 hours etc etc but mine smells like dank and skanks all while being cranked. Live life don’t waste it.

Yup. Always clean and easy to find a problem if there ever is? I’ve had to do the same to one of my quickrods. Actully Jens Kruse did it for me. Wish Scott would make a balls out high gain 50 watter with power scaling and preamp out...I’m talking less bass and more all out molten metal. Don’t need an od1 or od2.
