Hello and thanks! Who here as owned or played through a Scott Splawn modded Marshall?

Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Sounds like a Quick Rod? Great amps? Get one?

Thanks!
Mark

I remember a conversation Scott had with me on the phone a few years back when I called him and asked about a certain modded Marshall that was up for sale and then why he stopped doing mods.
He said something about not wanting to open up old dusty amps, but most importantly he said not all of the modded amps sounded good to him.
Each modded amp was a gamble to a certain degree and they were not all the same. And I take it from that conversation this fact bothered him.
I ended up passing on the actual amp I spoke to him about per his suggestion.
Hope this Helps ? :)

The Splawn modded Marshall I had come in here was pretty much identical to an early Quickrod. There were a couple differences, but I think they were minor.

Good to see you Hollywood! Been thinking of you.

Thank you Hollywood!! Now that you wrote that...I totally remember you telling me that story when you I talked on the phone the couple times that we did.
Thanks for jarring my memory. : )

Hope you're doing well my friend.

Take care!

Still Hanging in Guys. :)
I took my wife and youngest daughter to see Jason Aldean last friday night in Raleigh. We stood right in the Dead front of the stage in front of Jason and the guys.
Man what a shock, Kurt Allison was not playing MESA'S, but playing EVH III HALF STACKS.
4 of them in Black.
Tripped me out. It was late when we left so we had no time to hang with anyone. They had a bus to catch heading for New Jersey for the next show the very next night.
I wanted to ask about the gear switch.
